February 14th is Gregory Hines Day!!!I can't believe that he is not still here on earth with us. Mr. Hines was an amazing dancer and a true Hoofer!!! I did not know who Mr. Hines was until only within the last 10 years of so and when I finally got to watch the movie "TAP" and see him and all of the legends of the dance, it brought back all of those amazing feelings I had inside me as a little kid watching old movies with taping and wishing that it could be me. After seeing that movie I looked up more on Gregory Hines and was absolutely amazed at his presence and how incredibly clean his dancing was, he was a true extension of the legends and in that sense became a legend himself! I would have really loved to have met him and learned from him because I know his knowledge and spirit was unbelievable! He is a true inspiration to any dancer and I really hope more people will watch his dancing and learn more about him, so that the spirit of Hoofers will never die!
