April 16th is Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Day!!! 

So everyone pretty much knows Kareem as one of the greatest basketball players, but Kareem has done much more than just basketball and the skyhook in his life.  Not only does is an activist for history and education, an actor, filmaker, and author, but a great martial artists as well.  The last thing is very interesting to me because I didn't know until more recently that he was a student of the great Bruce Lee!  A key influence in making martial arts not just for one race, but for all!  Kareem continues his activism today with education for children and a healthy lifestyle as well.
