This is a blog mostly focused on educating and teaching about great, important people, events, and celebrations in life. Teaching some history and TRUTH that you might not see or hear about other places because people don't want you to know or care about these people or the history. I will also throw in some reviews and misc things every once in awhile, but the main goal is to educate and then also learn from others myself :-).

April 16th is Emancipation Day!!!
April 16th is Emancipation Day!!!
I actually have some reserve in even celebrating and acknowledging this as Emancipation Day because even though the Emancipation Proclamation was signed into law on this day in 1862 and officially freed the enslaved people of the USA, there is still a very dark side to this and slavery did not end!!! Instead of celebrating that Lincoln signed this into law on this day, I am going to celebrate all of the Abolitionists of that time that forced Lincoln's hand to even make this move, since the accomplishment was really theirs and NOT his! Lincoln did this for politics just as almost every President did before him and since him. I want to thank and celebrate the people behind the scenes that made it impossible to ignore the issue and rallied people for the cause.
Below is a link to a pretty good list of Abolitionists, if you have time research even just a few of these people and their ideals and convictions and you will see the influence. If you don't believe me about Lincoln, his beliefs, and his political ploys just do some REAL research about who he really was and I guarantee you will feel the same way as me and will never celebrate him as a man or President again!!! REAL facts and HISTORY are out there, you just have to look - don't believe everything you are taught in school or by your parents - the lies have continued for generations!!!
Ok, I got off subject a little, but I just had to make that known so that people stop celebrating the wrong thing! So today lets thank all who have done great things throughout history to help lead causes to make the world a better and more equal place for ALL HUMANS!!!! We still have a long way to go, but I am very thankful for the people that have lead the charge and actually stepped up to try with all of their heart and soul to make a change for the better!!!
