March 15th is Harriet E. Wilson Day!!! I actually just learned about her today, but just from the bit I have learned and researched I know she was an amazing woman. Even though she did only publish one novel the emotion and passion that was put into the purpose and the story. She was the first African American to ever have a novel published in the USA, meaning that this was one of the first stories people were able to read about how slavery was and the treatment. Although this only highlight basically her life, it is an important stepping stone coming from a amazing and humble woman. Thank you Mrs. Wilson for all of your contributions and inspiration!
