February 29th is Sgt. William H. Carney Day!!!
Sgt. William H. Carney was the First African American Congressional medal of Honor Recipient. He was a part of the Massachussets 54th Regimen during the civil war and lead the charge on Fort Wagner. He never gave up the flag and the fight even though he sooo close to death. Thank you Mr. Carney for all of your contributions and inspiration! Please click the link below and learn more about Sgt.
