January 9th is Mat Hoffman Day!!!Mat Hoffman is a BMX rider from Oklahoma that helped elevate and change the sport. Most people don't know who he is or even care because he is just another person doing those extreme sports things, but he does deserve a day of recognition and celebration for his achievements and accomplishments. He is an inspiration to many young people all over the world not just for his feats, but also because he is an amazingly humble and generous person. Parents might not see the reason for their kids to look up to extreme sports stars, but I would be ecstatic if my child to wanted to be like Mat Hoffman and others - the culture is wonderful and so are the people!!!! Yes, things are dangerous, but what is life without a little risk and it is all worth it to do something love with your heart and soul! Thank you Mr. Hoffman for all of your contributions and inspiration!
