November 29th is Wendell Phillips Day!!!

November 29th is Wendell Phillips Day!!!

"Wendell Phillips was a leading reformer of the 19th Century; as a driving force in Abolition, his fame and notoriety rivaled that of his dear friend, William Lloyd Garrison. It can be argued that while Garrison was the backbone of anti-slavery, Phillips was the Movement's voice. A frequent visitor to Concord, he was a moving and powerful speaker and his brilliance at the podium was highly effective in spreading the anti-slavery message. In an era known as the Golden Age of Oratory, Phillips stood out as a speaker." Thank you Mr. Phillips for all of your contributions and inspiration! "Two kinds of men generally best succeed in political life; men of no principle, but of great talent; and men of no talent, but of one principle - that of obedience to their superiors." - Wendell Phillips
