November 26th is Fred "Tiz" Morrison Day!!!
"Back then, Fred “Tiz” Morrison was part of what were called the Frogmen, members of the Underwater Demolition Team which fathered what we know now as the US Navy SEALs. He was a veteran of the Second World War and was part of the UDT Team 1 in 1948. His official rank is US Navy Ensign 2, and was a recipient of the Bronze Star during the Korean War as part of UDT Team 12. There is little information on the life of Tiz Morrison. He has since passed on, but he will always be remembered as the first African-American Navy SEAL." Thank you Mr. Morrison for all of your contributions and inspiration! I had the honor of serving for a short while with Tiz at the 5th Air Force Sea Survival School, Numazu Japan. He was a gentle giant and a great guy extremely capable in his professional abilities. I am proud to have worked with him.
